Westlock Transfer Station Revenues
The Westlock Transfer Station saw a drop of $90,000 in revenue, but the Weslock Regional Waste Management Commision insists it's not a problem. In an interview with the Westlock News, waste commission manager Tom Moore says the drop comes to a 60% drop in how much waste is collected from Westlock businesses. Moore speculates that it may be because commercial haulers have contracts with other transfer stations. Waste Commision board member Curtis Snell says they're dealing with it quite well, as they've seen it coming for a few years and have been planning for it.
